			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the early stages of stem cell research, bone marrow was the sole source. Since then a number of other sources have been found to contain stem cells.</p>
<p>Bone marrow stem cell usually come from the long bones. The best sources are pelvic bones, femur  and sheen bone. The bone marrow stem cells are adult stem cells and therefore not as diversified and potent to differentiate as compared to embryonic stem cells. </p>
<p>Umbilical cord blood stem cells are obtained from the umbilical cord blood, which are collected just after the birth of the baby.</p>
<p>Embryonic cells are obtained from the blastocyst phase of the embryo. Cells are highly efficient in producing newer types of cells. </p>
<p>Placental stem cells provide almost all the life supports to keep a baby alive. After birth it has been found to give rise to more number of stem cells as compared to embryonic stem cells.  </p>
<p>Menstrual stem cells have an extra-ordinary improvement over the umbilical cord blood cells. They have a rapid growth rate.</p>
<p>Dental stem cells are cells obtained from tooth pulp generally from babies or from wisdom teeth. This has been found to produce bones, cartilage, muscle cells if cultured. </p>

They are working quickly now to direct stem cells, so they grow into almost any type of human cells, including heart, brain, nerve, cartilage, bone and liver cells.  Stem cells are being studied to affect other disease like diabetes, kidney problems, liver and Parkinson’s disease. They are being used in human clinical trials, and it is expected to be available within the next ten years. Stem cells from teeth are proving better than those coming from bone marrow.</p>
<p>According to the researchers, as dental stem cells are closely linked to bone and cartilage, it is simple to manipulate these immature cells into cartilage. Dental stem cells have significant medical benefits in the development of new medical therapies.  Baby teeth have the most viable cells, but wisdom teeth are also a great source of stem cells.</p>
<p>Using one’s own stem cells for medical treatment carries with it a much lower risk of rejection and decreases the need for  drugs that weaken the immune system, both of which are negative but typical realities that come into play when tissues or cells from a donor are used to treat patients.</p>
